Bodiam Football Festival 6-a-side Competition Rules

Competition Format:

• League format

Team Composition:

• Teams must consist of 5 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper

• Teams must have a minimum of 9 players in their squad

Match Duration:

• Two halves of 8 minutes each

• 2-minute half-time interval

Substitutions:

• Roll-on, roll-off substitutions allowed

• No need to stop the game for subs, but the player leaving must be off the field before the substitute enters

• If violated repeatedly, the incoming player may be sin-binned for 1 minute

Free Kicks:

• Opponents must be at least 3 yards away from the ball

Goalkeeper Rules:

• Goalkeeper can play the ball with both hands and feet from any goal kick

Offside Rule:

• No offsides

General Rules:

• All other standard FA football rules apply

• Fair play is expected from all participants (players, coaches, and supporters)

• Teams violating fair play rules risk expulsion from the tournament without refunds
